Laid level on a base that stays put

Excavation, compacted aggregate, bedding sand, tight edge restraint and joint sand — the layers under a path are why it stays flat and trip-free instead of lifting and rocking.

What We Do

Walkways & paths we build

From the front entry to the far corner of the garden, laid on the same careful base.

Front entry walkways

A clean, level paver walk from the street or drive to your door — the first thing every visitor walks, set to stay flat and joint-true for years.

Garden & side-yard paths

Paths that connect patio, beds and side yards cleanly, laid slip-aware and edged so they don't wander, weed up or sink into the lawn.

Steps & landings

Paver steps and landings that handle grade changes safely, so a sloped approach becomes an even, sure-footed route instead of a stumble in the dark.

Borders, banding & edges

Contrasting borders and banding that define the path and tie it into patios and the front of the house — plus clean edges ready for path lighting.

Why Us

Why pavers over a poured path

A path is walked every day and seen by everyone who visits. Here's why we build most in pavers.

They flex instead of cracking

Pavers ride small ground and root movement that cracks a poured path in one hard line, so the walk ages evenly instead of splitting and lifting into trip edges.

Any one paver is fixable

If a paver settles or is damaged, we lift and reset that one — no jackhammering and re-pouring a whole run to fix a single high spot.

Laid to drain and stay tight

Set on a graded, draining base with polymeric joint sand and firm edge restraint, the path sheds water and keeps its joints locked instead of weeding up.

Design you can't get from concrete

Colour, pattern and borders let the walk match your home and planting rather than reading as a plain grey ribbon of concrete.

A safe, even route after dark

Level pavers, defined borders and edges ready for path lighting turn a trip-hazard approach into a route that's easy and safe to walk at night.

Patterns and borders that fit your home

Colour, banding and layout are chosen to match your house and garden, so the path reads as part of the design instead of a patched-in strip.

Good to Know

Questions about paver walkways & paths

Why pavers instead of a concrete path?

Pavers flex with small ground and root movement instead of cracking in one hard line, they're laid to drain, and any single paver can be lifted and reset without re-pouring the whole walk. They also come in colours and patterns concrete can't match.

Will weeds grow up through the joints?

A proper install with polymeric joint sand and tight edge restraint keeps joints locked and heavily reduces weeds compared with pavers dropped on sand alone. It's the base and the edges that make the difference.

Are paver paths slippery or uneven?

Laid on a compacted, graded base and edged properly, they stay flat and even. We also talk through paver texture so the surface suits how and where you'll walk it.

Can you handle steps and a sloped approach?

Yes — paver steps and landings are a common part of a path project. We build them to handle the grade change safely so a sloped route becomes even and sure-footed.

Can the path be ready for lighting?

We can lay clean edges and coordinate the layout so path or step lighting drops in neatly, making the route safer and better looking after dark.

Where do you work?

We're based in Livermore and build across the San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
